March 10, 2003 Regular Monthly Meeting

Chairman Carter called meeting to order at 7:00 PM, all in attendance stood and recited the pledge of allegiance.
Supervisor Cupit made motion to accept minutes, Chairman Carter 2nd, all in favor.
Sharon McAndrew read the treasurer's report.
Driveway Fund $ 22,207.82 Savings $ 68,828.19
Equipment Fund $ 10,746.16 Checking $ 2,089.57
Blacktop Fund $ 20,976.77
Chairman Carter made motion to transfer $4500 to savings from checking, Supervisor Freedlund 2nd, discussion:
Supervisor Cupit suggested to put some money into the equipment fund. Motion amended.
Supervisor Freedlund made motion to transfer $5500 from savings and $4500 from checking to the equipment fund, Supervisor Cupit 2nd, all in favor.
Supervisor Cupit made motion to accept treasurers report, Chairman Carter 2nd, all in favor.
Supervisor Cupit made motion to approve Board of Audit report for the year 2002, Chairman Carter 2nd, all in favor.
Julie Runkle, Chisago County Planner presented board with a general plan for the land use update. She has just begun working for Chisago County, previously she was the environmental services director for Wabasha County and wrote their first county zoning ordinance in her 4-1/2 years with Wabasha County. She is looking for some input and concerns from townships and cities in Chisago County. Supervisor Cupit spoke about some general feeling on junk cars in yards, water quality, road quality and also said that Fish Lake Township would like to know of any issues that Chisago County is planning on bringing up in the future.
Mike Robinson, County District 5 Commissioner, was also present at this meeting. He spoke about County Road 63 and County Road 10 improvements being considered for this year. They are also looking into improving the safety of County Road 7 (From Rush City to Hwy 65). Mike will also be attending our March 11, 2003 Annual Meeting.
Gary Guse read the road report. Gary will start hauling rock to the shop stockpile. The 1-Ton has been painted and is back in use at the township.
Supervisor Freedlund made motion to accept the road report, Supervisor Cupit 2nd, all in favor.
Supervisor Freedlund spoke to Orville Polzine and the truck has been moved from the township right of way.
Andrea Nekowitsch, clerk, spoke with Shamrock Sanitation and the dumpster has been removed from the township right of way on Crown Drive.
